The Facebook group Americans in Sweden is the largest online group for US expats living in Sweden, currently boasting over 1,800 members. It is a “closed group,” meaning only members can see content that is shared in the group.
The group is a great tool for those who are seeking direction with visas, ID cards, personummers, or anything else to integrate into Swedish society. Members tend to be quick to give direction and share their experiences of working with various Swedish government departments.
We encourage you to take heed when sharing your opinions in this group and partaking in casual conversation. There are members who stalk others who think differently than them, re-post content with the author’s name after the author deleted it, and slander members within the group.
